Prayer Ministry
"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." Matthew 18:19-21
"But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." Matthew 6:6
Prayer is so central to our life as a church. Much of our prayer is individual or in small groups. If you have any particular prayer needs or requests please complete one of the prayer cards at the back of the church and we will ensure that it is included in the list of prayer needs in our monthly Prayer Update.
"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." James 5:14
Your Pastor and Deacons are available to meet with any of you who come to us requesting prayer. Please speak to us after the service or call us if you wish to request prayer and laying on of hands. Sometimes it may be appopriate to ask the whole church for prayer as part of our worship together. This may involve laying on of hands and annointing with oil.
Monthly Prayer Meetings
Most months we meet on the first Saturday of the month for a 'prayer time' either in one of our members' homes with breakfast or in the Church room. Two or three times a year, we meet for a little longer and fast for the morning (if appropriate for our health needs). We compile a monthly prayer update to aid our prayer times and would ask that you keep Pastor Chris informed of any prayer concerns, praise reports and updates.
Men's Prayer Times There is a men's prayer time on Zoom each Friday morning at 8 a.m. (except the day before our monthly prayer meetings). A link is sent out to men the previous evening. There is a Men's Prayer Whatsapp chat for sharing any prayer requests or updates between meetings. Please ask Pastor Chris if you'd like to be included in the Church Whatsapp Community.
Ladies' Prayer Meetings Our ladies meet for prayer each Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., usually with Alison, our pastor's wife, at their home but occasionally in other members' homes. There is a Ladies' Prayer Whatsapp chat for sharing any specifically ladies' prayer matters or updates between meetings. Please ask Pastor Chris if you'd like to be included in the Church Whatsapp Community.
Prayer Texts We use text messages to pass on more urgent prayer requests and updates druing the week. If you'd like to be included in these text messages, please let Alison or Alice know. Also. if you have an urgent prayer request that you'd like them to pass on. Their contact details are in the Church Contact List which is available to all church members.
